2. Data we collect
Data you provide to us
When you contact us by email or phone, we receive the information you choose to share, typically your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message.
Data received from Meta platforms
If you use one of our applications on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) — for example by logging in with Facebook or granting it permissions — we receive only the information you authorize, such as your name, email address, account identifier and the data covered by the permissions you grant. We use it solely to provide the functionality you requested, in accordance with Meta's Platform Terms, and never sell it. You can revoke access and request deletion at any time by following our Data deletion instructions.
Data collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting server automatically records technical information in its log files each time a page is requested: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system (user agent). Our content delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, processes the same kind of technical data when it routes your request to our server and protects the Website against attacks. This data is used solely to deliver, operate and secure the Website.
What we do not collect
- We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or any other tracking technology on this Website, and we do not set cookies ourselves (see our Cookie policy for the limited security cookies Cloudflare may set).
- The Website does not load content from third-party servers: fonts and all other resources are hosted on our own server.
- We do not knowingly collect sensitive data, and we ask you not to send us any.
3. Why we use your data
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your inquiries and requests for proposals | Contact details, message content | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate interest in answering inquiries |
| Providing the functionality of our applications on Meta platforms | Data you authorize through Facebook or Instagram | Your consent; performance of a contract |
| Providing and managing our services when you become a client | Contact and business details, correspondence | Performance of a contract |
| Operating and securing the Website (preventing abuse, diagnosing errors) | Server logs | Our legitimate interest in keeping the Website available and secure |
| Complying with our legal obligations and defending our rights | Data strictly necessary for that purpose | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing messages without your prior consent.
4. How long we keep it
- Inquiries: for the time needed to handle your request, then up to 3 years after our last exchange if no business relationship follows.
- Client data: for the duration of our business relationship, then for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations.
- Server logs: for a limited period necessary for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share it with:
- Our hosting provider, The Constant Company, LLC (Vultr), which hosts the Website on servers located in France;
- Our content delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which routes traffic to the Website and protects it against attacks;
- Our email provider, Proton AG, based in Switzerland, which hosts our mailbox;
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, or to protect our rights;
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Our service providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
6. International transfers
Bricks Dynamics LLC is based in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your data may be accessed from the United States when we handle your request. Technical data processed by Cloudflare may also be handled in the United States. Such transfers take place where necessary to respond to your request or to perform a contract with you, or on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Switzerland, where our email provider is located, benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).
If you are in the United States
Depending on your state of residence (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. As stated above, we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights
Send your request to [email protected]. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding. We will reply within the time limits set by applicable law, generally within one month.
To delete data received through Facebook or Instagram, see our Data deletion instructions.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and a minimal-data approach. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
